In VCarve Pro v3.1, is there a way to change the safe z height after the material is defined? I have one particular tool path that might be trouble and I wanted to add a little height to the safe z but it’s not obvious to me if there is a way to do it. Tom

The guys at Vectric are releasing their new versions. I was sent the new drag knife gadget to play with and test today. The tool works great and all within the cam software. Below are some screen shots.
Vectric software DOES take into account material thickness already...so be careful of Topping Out if you don't have a Z-Prox functioning! SB3 doesn't know how thick your material is...only where Z-Zero is.....so if Z-Zeroing to spoilboard with thick material, make SURE it's set high enough to clear material in VC!

Typically, if you are creating the artwork to be used with the drag knife, you would consider this from the very beginning. Hello Brian. Thanks for your reply. I will contact Vectric via the link you supplied. As a note, the problem of not saving is with saving to my PC's C drive. I guess the fact that I posted the question here on Shopbot's forum is a testament to my familiarity with this forum, and my respect for the results I get.
